I Love Chatsworth Road was started as a documentary project by photographer Jørn Tomter and after he teamed up with web-designer Matt Naylor it turned in to the website you are now visiting. 

Here you will find stories about THE LOCALS, see how THE MARKET looks like and meet the owners of THE SHOPS. We will add stories every month so make sure you bookmark us to keep on top of everything.

Chatsworth Road is a road in Hackney, next door to the Olympic village. It was purpose built to become east London's biggest market at the end of the 19th Century. It has had it ups and downs. Until recently it was declining for years, and is now rapidly becoming gentrified for better and worse. For every person who now moves in the previous one will say it was better before. We are not to judge when an area has changed too much or how it should be changed. This web site is just a document of a very interesting neigbourhood with a strong community.
